Instead, the IBM InfoSphere Information Server Default License Key File ("default license key file") is provided. The file enables the installation program to install any product module. When you use the default license key file, you must only install those product modules that are indicated on your Proof of Entitlement. You must also customize the license key information to activate only the features that are associated with the specific IBM InfoSphere DataStage and QualityStage related products and feature packs that are indicated on your Proof of Entitlement.

The customers must download their own copy of license and software from Passport Advantage.

 Complex job with large number of coumns loaded from table definitions hits memory limits resulting in compile failure.

 Applies to jobs that have very large numbers of Column objects within the job with references to Table Definition columns.
 This seriously affects import and compile performance and the only relief that we were able to offer the customer is a tool
 named DSEditor.exe which can be used to strip those references out of a dsx file for the job.

 To use this tool:
 1. obtain a dsx export of the job
 2. run the DSXEditor.exe tool which is installed into c:\IBM\InformationServer\Clients\Classic
 3. by default the options to strip lines matyching <TableDef "..."> and <ColumnReference "...> are checked
 4. click on the source button and navigate to the source dsx file
 5. click on the target button and specify the target dsx file
 6. import the stripped dsx file and compile the job
